Prestige Credit Union bridges the gap between Operations and Technology

Prestige Credit Union in Dallas, Texas, recently converted to a new Enterprise Content Management (ECM) System.  During the implementation, Prestige CU struggled to merge their operational processes with the configuration of their new ECM solution.  Prestige CU needed to completely understand the software capabilities, evaluate their internal processes, and merge them in order to successfully deploy their new enterprise software; however, they did not have the time, and they lacked the expertise required to manage the completion of such a detailed project. 

According to Paul Gill, Senior Vice President of Information Technology, “We spent about three months trying to force our operations into the imaging system.” After little progress, they decided to seek outside assistance to help them configure their new system to align with their operational processes in order to get the job done and gain the efficiency they hoped to obtain.  “We felt an outside vendor that had the expertise and understanding of how a credit union operates would help us complete our conversion,” Gill said.

As a result of the project, Prestige Credit Union has fully deployed their content management system, and it now aligns with their operational processes. The daily responsibilities for the employees are more automated so they are spending less time on mundane tasks like scanning, indexing, and retrieving.  They were also able to free up resources that had been tied up for several months working on the project.  Their staff is more focused on other responsibilities like helping members and increasing services to their membership.
